Seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness,
it’s an act of courage.

If life feels overwhelming, relationships are difficult, you’ve lost trust in yourself, or you simply feel in need of support, MayRose Counselling offers a calm, supportive space to help you find your way forward.

Is counselling for me?

Many of the people I work with are processing current life issues, navigating relationship changes or want to understand themselves more deeply. MayRose Counselling is a confidential, trusting space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself, a chance to explore what’s happening in your life and begin to understand yourself more deeply.

Counselling offers something different from any other relationship. I believe it's that unique, trusting connection where you will learn to navigate challenges in your own way and continue to do so long after sessions end.

About me

I’m Helen, the counsellor at MayRose Counselling.

I’m an integrative counsellor, meaning I draw on different therapeutic approaches to support each person in a way that feels right for them, rather than following a single method.

My approach is gentle, steady and attuned. We move at your pace and you only share what feels right for you. I offer a calm, non‑judgemental space where you can explore things in your own time.

I work with adults (18+) online and in person, based on your needs and what feels most comfortable for you.

I follow the professional ethical guidelines of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I’m fully insured and have regular clinical supervision to ensure I’m working ethically and safely.

Outside of counselling, my two children and family are a big part of my life. I’m a working mum who understands how busy, messy and demanding life can feel. I love being outdoors, reading and small acts of self-care that keep me feeling balanced.

How it works

Step 1

Get in touch - send me a message about what’s led you to consider counselling. I will aim to get back to you on the next working day.

Step 2

Free introductory call - we'll have a relaxed 20-minute conversation where you can share what’s happening, and we can see if working together feels right.

There's no pressure and no obligation to continue.

Step 3

Begin counselling - if we decide to work together, we will explore what’s happening in your life, how you’re feeling, and what your experiences mean to you, helping you make sense of your inner world and the patterns that shape your relationships and choices.
